ANSI - TIA942 DC Certification

ANSI/TIA-942 Data Center Certification

The ANSI/TIA-942 Conformity Audit provides an extensive and meticulous assessment for conformity to the requirements of the standard involving over 2,600 criteria encompassing Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunication, Security and Safety. The audit helps verify whether your mission critical infrastructure is aligned to your business requirement.

The outcome is a comprehensive report indicating non-conformities (if any). Once all the non-conformities are addressed, a “Conformity Certificate” will be issued and the data center will be listed on the ANSI/TIA-942 website (www.tia-942.org)

Some of the TIA-942 Data Center Conformity Certification benefits:

  • Quality review of the implementation and workmanship of actual construction/build
  • Investigate the risk factors that can affect the availability of the Data Centre or cause systems degradation to the potential point of an unplanned outage.
  • In-depth analysis of all areas under scope
  • Certificate with Rated/Rating for each category and overall rating in accordance with ANIS/TIA-942 adding proof to the claims
  • Competitive advantage over non-certified sites
  • Shorten sales cycles for co-lo’s
  • Provide input to continuous improvement plans
  • Provides management with realistic expectation on the data centers capability
  • Avoids over commitment to customers
  • Pro-active prevention of possible risks for unplanned downtime.
  • Evaluate the current power layout and balance measured from the PDU up to the rack level
  • Evaluate the current cooling infrastructure effectiveness
  • Evaluate general fire suppression and safety measures
  • Evaluate EMF risks for humans and ICT infrastructure
  • Pro-actively bring possible enhancements and improvements to the attention of the customer
  • Provide the customer with findings that allows them to plan for improvements which have the biggest benefits
